WELCOME FROM THE PRESIDENT

Welcome to the 1.FC Santa Rosa web site! This web site is grounded in our overall strategy of reaching out to the broadest possible community of football-lovers in order to expose them to our club philosophy and activities.

Now in our eighteenth year of existence, Santa Rosa continues to grow steadily, in terms of our registered membership, the programmes we offer, and our performance on the field of play. In 2009, the club departed the TT Pro League youth competition to participate in the inaugural TTFF national Youth League season. We won the Under 17 division, and finished second in the Under 15 division. We also won the annual Rising Stars (U15) tournament and were third in the annual Republic Cup Under 12 division.

The education of our members and staff remains a high priority for the club. In the classroom, we demand the best standards from its members. The winner of the 2009 Student/Player of the Year award, Christopher Steele (a member of our Under 17 team), earned seven distinctions in his CXC Examination subjects. And the education of our staff coaches is ongoing. In 2009 club coaches attended several international courses and professional activities.

In 2009 we achieved all of our annual objectives:

-          Intensification of our player social development programme,

-          Continued focus on coach education

-          Opening the doors of the club to female players (for the first time),

-          Further development of our community activities, social and athletic.

For 2010 we have set ourselves the following objectives:

-          Establishment of permanent training centres in Brazil and Biche villages

-          Professionalization of the social development programme

-          Participation n the TTFF National Youth League Under 21 competition

-          Continued hosting of primary school clinics
