BIG CANNON CAPTAIN SUFFERS LONG TERM INJURY
FC Santa Rosa captain Jason Hope suffered a suspected knee tendon injury during pre-season training last night (Thursday 15 May). The injury occured in a duel with another player for a loose ball. Hope’s leg was placed in a cast by doctors and will be examined by orthopedic specialists within the next days.
The twenty-six year-old joined the Big Cannons in 2011 and has become the bedrock of the team. The loss of their experienced captain is a severe setback for the young team, which averages twenty years of age. Fellow central defender Jovan Rochford will captain the Big Cannons in Hope’s absence.
